On 26 October 2023, Hub Leader Prof Veena will speak at a free in-person and webinar event hosted by OzHarvest, the food rescue, education and sustainability not for profit company.
OzHarvest is running the webinar as part of its exclusive ‘Kahnversation’ events; a series of curated conversations with OzHarvest CEO and Founder, Ronni Kahn AO and special guests.
On Thursday, Ronni will be joined by guests Professor Veena Sahajwalla and Fiona Harrison to discuss how they are "Shaping Our Future Through Innovation".

Veena will talk about sustainability and the importance of using waste as a resource to achieve decarbonisation goals, including adopting new behaviours and recycling techniques and systems - like some of those of the Hub is looking at - to help create new circular economies.
She will give an overview of the Hub and its various projects including finding fit-for-purpose technological recycling solutions for regional and remote communities across Australia.
